Ingredients:

  • 10.5 oz canned chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 small bunch parsley
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 0.7 oz flour
  • Oil for frying (as needed)

How to make Chickpea Bites:

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then place them in a blender.
  2. Blend until you achieve a smooth and compact mixture.
  3. Transfer the chickpea mixture to a bowl and add salt, turmeric, pepper, and flour.
  4. Mix everything until the mixture is pliable.
  5. Finely chop the parsley and add it to the mixture.
  6. Mix again to incorporate the parsley evenly.
  7. Set the mixture aside and prepare your frying pan.
  8. Fill the bottom of the pan with about an inch of oil.
  9. Heat the oil thoroughly.
  10. In the meantime, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small balls with your hands.
  11. Flatten the balls slightly before placing them in the hot oil.
  12. Fry until golden brown.
  13. Once golden, the chickpea bites are ready to be enjoyed.
