  • Water, baking soda and lemon

If what you are looking for is a natural alternative with which to clean a marble floor and make it in perfect condition without the need to resort to chemicals, we advise you to take note of the following procedure. First, you need to sweep the floor very well to remove dirt and dust, and if there are any tough stains, remove them by wiping with a cloth moistened with warm water, baking soda and alcohol.

Then, to thoroughly clean the floor, add enough water to a bucket along with three tablespoons of baking soda, four of alcohol and a little liquid detergent. With this mixture, the floor will be completely clean and shiny.

  • Hydrogen peroxide and lemon juice

White marble is much more delicate and requires more care to clean it and keep it perfect at all times. A solution of warm water and mild soap is ideal for cleaning this type of marble without causing damage. Now, to remove more difficult stains, you can prepare a mixture of half a cup of hydrogen peroxide and the juice of half a lemon. Apply the resulting liquid to the surface to be cleaned with a soft sponge, leave for a couple of minutes, rinse with a little lukewarm water and dry with a cloth.

  • Water and vinegar

In case there are food or drink stains on marble surfaces, try to remove them as soon as possible. Use an absorbent microfiber cloth, go over the stains and then wipe the surface with a little warm water and mild liquid soap. If you see that this is not enough to remove the stains, you can use a mixture of water with a little white vinegar, the latter being a product that offers a powerful cleaning effect.

In addition to these tips for cleaning marble with household products, there is a natural remedy for polishing it and leaving surfaces much shinier without running the risk of scratching it. You just need to mix three tablespoons of baking soda with a little water to create a kind of paste. When ready, spread the paste on the surface to be cleaned, making sure it is a thin layer, and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Then, without scrubbing, remove by rinsing with warm water and wiping with a microfiber cloth to finish. You will be surprised at the result!
