How to cook sweet potatoes in the microwave

  • Wash the potatoes well, make a few holes with the stick and place them in the bag. Set the microwave to 600 watts and cook for 15 minutes. Once cooked, leave to rest in the switched off microwave for 10 minutes.
  • Procedure for cooking American potatoes in the microwave using cling film. After having washed and pricked the potatoes with a stick, place them in a pan or bowl and cover with cling film, making sure they adhere well to the edges. Set the microwave to 750 watts and start cooking for 15 minutes.
  • Once the potatoes are cooked you can cut them in two, lengthwise, and season them with salt, oil and paprika. You can pass them through a potato masher and mix them with bitter cocoa and agave syrup. Or use them for all your recipes.
