Of all the cleaning products we have at home, shaving foam is one of the many you’d never think would work in the kitchen. Let’s take a look at what it is and how to use it.

Whether we’re talking about products for the bathroom, the kitchen or personal hygiene, we may find one that allows us to improve the appearance of steel and other types of metal.

Cleaning stainless steel

Stainless steel is an essential element in many kitchens, as it is a healthy, strong and durable material. It is used in sinks and hobs, as well as in baking trays and saucepans.

Aesthetic, robust and durable, it is the material of choice for professional kitchens.

However, all these objects and shelves can develop unpleasant stains over time. However, there are several all-natural cleaning products that can be used to clean stainless steel.

In fact, it’s possible to make them shiny and bright without using chemical or abrasive products.

Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion and oxidation, especially if you choose brands with proven reliability. It’s important to clean them carefully to keep them in perfect condition.

To keep shiny and bright, it needs to be properly maintained and cleaned: indeed, there’s nothing uglier than a discolored and stained hob or sink.

Shaving foam on a kitchen sponge

It’s possible to solve the emergencies that arise with small measures and, above all, without having to spend money on specific products that are also polluting.

So with a little skill and cunning, it’s possible to perform small miracles with simple products like gel or shaving foam.

To keep the bottoms of steel pans shiny, they need to be cleaned with soap and water to remove grease, as food acids or encrusted residues can damage them.

And of course, problems can arise when our food sticks and burns.

A good cleaning is all that’s needed to eliminate the bacteria that swarms around and “age” our stainless steel more quickly.

However, it is possible to remove dirt and stains from stainless steel to bring it back to its original state and remove stubborn stains.

One thing that works very well for cleaning stainless steel pots and pans is shaving cream. Simply sprinkle the bottom of the pan with shaving cream and leave for around ten minutes, then scrub with a sponge.

Once the pan has been rinsed, it will shine like new. We can do the same to polish the steel sink. After spreading the shaving foam, it should be rubbed with a soft sponge and then rinsed.

This men’s hygiene product can also be used to clean glassware: a small amount can remove dirty stains from glass, or polish door hinges that have darkened over time.
