There is more than one floor cleaning method that can be used depending on the type of floor and how dirty it is. Floors are an important part of our home or workplace, and keeping them clean and disinfected is key to ensuring a safe and healthy environment.

Most common cleaning method: water and detergent

The most common method for cleaning floors is to use water and detergent. This method is suitable for most floor types such as marble, tile, ceramic and linoleum. Cleaning with soap and water is very simple and consists of filling a bucket with warm water and adding a small amount of floor cleaner. Next, mops or sponges are dipped into the cleaning solution and wiped across the floor, removing the dirt.

Alternatively, for more delicate floors like wood floors, a special cleaner for wood can be used. This type of cleaner will help clean the floor without ruining or damaging it. It is advisable to apply the cleaner to the floor with a soft cloth and not to use too much water, so as not to damage the wood.

How to have a clean and disinfected home

Cleaning the floor at home is a daily necessity to keep the house clean and disinfected. Instead of using harmful chemicals, there are many natural cleaning options that can be just as effective. One of the easiest cleaning methods is to use warm water and white vinegar, which help remove dirt and stains without leaving toxic residue. In addition, using natural materials such as cellulose sponges or microfiber cloths will help prevent the spread of bacteria and other pollutants. In addition, the use of natural products such as baking soda can help remove stubborn stains and deodorize the floor naturally.

DIY cleaner:

One way to clean the floors with confidence that they are properly cleaned is to use a cleaner that we have made at home with:

  • 2 cups of baking soda.
  • a spoonful of washing-up liquid,
  • a spoonful of toothpaste,
  • lemon juice.

To use this detergent as a cleaning method and not just for floors, you need to combine the ingredients just described and then form balls of them to keep them in a jar. We will use one every time we want to clean, for example, a dirty toilet with a dark floor. In this case it is enough to pour a scoop and leave overnight. In the morning, simply wipe the toilet brush.

To use it in our cleaning method for the floor, pour a scoop in the bucket of water to wash the floors with a rag or mop, and we will immediately see how not only the floor becomes shinier and brighter, but also the rag and mop becomes cleaner.
